Smoke Blotter® Technology
Smoke Blotter®, Inc. holds the world's first and only patent for an
electronically actuated, no-air, on board filter system designed to source
capture toxic soot at stack or tailpipe. It's intermittent, selective filtration
reduces cleaning frequency and prolongs the life of the ceramic filters. It also
permits full engine RPM and horsepower at times when engine power and
acceleration are mission-critical.
Smoke Blotter® Emission Control Systems
Smoke Blotter® systems are designed for situations where people continuously
live or work around diesel powered vehicles. The First Responder™ system is a
time based solution while the Phantom Switch™ system is proximity based
solution. Each system has distinct advantages and hybrid systems are possible.
The Smoke Blotter® System consists of a Filter, Housing, Diverter, Actuator, and Control Module, all completely self contained on the vehicle or Engine. Therefore the engine may be "Smog Free" any time, any place.
The Smoke
Blotter® Phantom Switch™ radio controlled system filters emissions automatically
whenever the vehicle is within range of a low frequency transmitter. Filtration
occurs when the vehicle is within range and shuts off when the vehicle is
out-of-range. This creates an environmentally friendly, smog-free zone around
the transmitter. It is fully automatic and hands free
The Smoke Blotter® First Responder™ timer controlled system filters emissions automatically triggers during engine startup, providing emission purification until the vehicle clears the occupied space, and on demand in park, backing into the bay, or in motion, in any gear, anytime, anyplace. The timer is push-button adjustable from inside the cab.
